Day 1  -

Fly to Delhi 

Day 2  -

Arrive Delhi   Meet and transfer to hotel Oberoi Maidens or The Imperial

Day 3  -

Delhi   Full day guided tour of Old and New Delhi. The Old Delhi or Shah Jahanabad was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the first half of the 17th Century. This old city is a dense network of narrow alleys and tightly packed markets and houses. Visit from outside the largest of the Delhi’s monuments Red Fort and the mighty mosque called Jama Masjid.

The modern area of Central New Delhi, with its wide tree-lined avenues and solid colonial buildings, has been the seat of the central government since 1931. At this hub the royal mall, Rajpath, runs from the palatial Rashtrapati Bhawan, in the east, to the India Gate war memorial, in the west. Rashtrapati Bhavan is the former Viceregal Lodge, now the official residence of Indian’s President. Next visit the tomb of Emperor Humayun which is an early example of the Mughal style of tomb.

Day 4  -

Delhi / Jodhpur   Morning flight to Jodhpur and transfer to hotel to begin tour of Royal Rajasthan.
Afternoon at leisure.

Overnight at Balsamand Lake Palace / Umaid Bhawan Palace

Day 5  -

Jodhpur   Tour of Old City and Fort. Meharangarh Fort spreads over five kilometers on a hill. It houses a palace intricately adorned with long carved panels and latticed windows exquisitely wrought from red sandstone.

One of the prominent landmarks of Jodhpur is the Old city clock tower The main attraction however is the Sadar Market. The market has kept alive the old haat bazaar culture. It is a colorful but ongested bazaar consisting of many narrow lanes, lined with tiny shops

Afternoon is free or jeep safari into the nearby countryside.

Day 6  -

Jodhpur / Udaipur   Drive to Udaipur via the Ranakpur Temples (265 Kms, 5-6 hours) on the second leg of Royal Rajasthan tour.

Sunset boat ride at Lake Pichola. Sail through sylvan spots, waft along with a gentle zephyr, in the most romantic of places.

Stay at Fateh Prakash Palace / Taj Lake Palace / Oberoi Udaivilas

Day 7  -

Udaipur / Devigarh  After a leisurely morning proceed for sightseeing tour. The City Palace is the largest palace in Rajasthan, situated on Udaipur’s ridge, overlooking the azure waters of the tranquil lake. Its imperial indomitability is softened by the interplay of multihued mosaics and mirrors, the inlay of cool tile work and leafy roof gardens.We visit the section which is now a museum.

Saheliyon-ki-bari, or gardens for companions, is a celebration of the art of landscape gardening on a princely scale.

Later in the day, drive to Devigarh Palace for the night (26 Kms, 1 hour).

Day 8  -

Devigarh / Udaipur  Morning at leisure. Later drive back to Udaipur and remainder of the day at leisure to rest.

Day 9  -

Udaipur / Jaipur   Board morning flight to Jaipur. Transfer to hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight at Samode Haveli or Oberoi Rajvilas / Rambagh Palace

Day 10  -

Jaipur   Full day guide tour of Amber fort and the city.

Amber was the ancient capital of the region. Now a deserted complex, it however still recalls its heydays in the majestic ramparts rising steeply along the contoured hillsides.

In the afternoon visit City Palace and its Museum (a part of the Palace still remains the residence of the Jaipur royal family), the Jantar Mantar, an 18th century observatory, and the legendary Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds).

Day 11  -

Jaipur   Day at leisure.

Evening sunset elephant safari in the countryside beyond Amber fort.

Day 12  -

Jaipur / Delhi / Departure -  Morning at leisure.

Afternoon drive to Delhi's (260 Kms, 5-6 hours) international airport to catch the flight for onwards destination.
