By Airways
To reach New Delhi by air is very easy because it has an International Airport popularly known, as Indira Gandhi International Airport is located 24 kilometers south of New Delhi having regular international and domestic flight. 

Major air carriers like Air India, Kingfisher, British Airways, Gulf Air, Singapore Airlines, Jet Airways, Deccan, IndiGo, SpeceJet are operating between Delhi and Other cities of the world as well as the country. 

By Railways
The Capital city of Delhi is well connected to almost all cities of the country by railways. Three major Railway stations in Delhi are New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station. To travel inside Delhi, there are Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) as well as Private buses running throughout the veins and arteries of the city.

Recently Delhi introduced a unique mode of modern transport in the form of Metro Rail. .Presently it covers some areas of Northern, Eastern and Western part of the city. Besides this very public transport, city of Delhi also provides other private modes of traveling like Cabs/ Taxis easily available in all places with affordable rates. Commuters have the option of choosing even premium and luxury cars. Besides this auto-rickshaws and rickshaws are also available at all places.

Places to See Near Games Village
Introduction
The Delhi Commonwealth Games Village is going to be a soothing and relaxing place for the thousands of athletes and officials who are participating in this mega sporting event. It is because of its locational advantage of having been surrounded by lush green environment on the bank of river Yamuna. Besides this, there are numerous monumental marvels in and around the Games Village that will sooth the tiredness of athletes.

Akshardham Temple
Located near Noida Mor on the bank of River Yamuna. It is the largest Hindu temple complex in the world. Built in marble and sandstone. A great example of mediaeval architecture. The complex consists of many other attractions like Hall of Values, Boat Ride, Musical Fountain, Garden of India, Narayan Sarovar and Premavati Ahargruh

Lotus Temple
Located near Nehru Place, it is a lotus shaped temple built in white marbles by the followers of Bahaism. It appears like a half-opened lotus floating in the pond surrounding it. The lush green garden makes it more attractive for the tourists . 

Humayun Tomb
Located on Mathura Road, Old Delhi, It is the memorial of Mughal ruler Humayun. It is a great example of Mughal architecture because of its double dome and arches, which were used for the first time in India. Humayun's Tomb was influential in the making of Taj Mahal.

Raj Ghat
The memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, located on the bank of River Yamuna is known for its simplistic scenic beauties. Near it are located memorials of many leaders of India history like Shanti Van, Vijay Ghat, Shakti Sthal and Vir Bhumi.

Qutab Minar
Located in Mehrauli it is a specimen of Sultanate Architecture. Built in red sandstone the 72m high India's tallest brick minaret is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The complex has other attractions like Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque, Alai Darwaza, Iltutmish's Tomb and Iron Pilllar

India Gate
The 160 feet sandstone gate is the memorial of our martyrs of First World War and Afghan War. The later addition of Amar Jawan Jyoti in the memories of those soldiers who laid their life for this country makes us proud. The lush green surrounding and the cool breeze of India Gate give a healing touch to the toll and tiredness of the day.

Rashtrapati Bhawan
Located in the Rajpath opposite to India Gate the Raisina Hill Palace is the symbol of India's sovereignty and republicanism. A beautiful architectural creation along with is lush green environment gives a soothing effect to the visitors. The famous Mughal Garden with its varieties of flowers instills new energy among the visitors.

Parliament House
The greatest symbol of Indian Democracy is located near the Rashtrapati Bhawaan. The circular building is a great site to visit which gives the visitors a sense about the working of Indian Democracy.

Cannaught Place
A famous market with varieties of products ranging from jewellery to handicrafts and readymade garments. Except roadside markets, there are shopping malls of branded products.
Chandini Chowk
A famous market in Central Delhi specialized in jewellery, handicraft and other fashionable products.
